I think the painted bunting is probably one of my favorite little birds. I have only seen a few but each time I’ve been lucky enough to see one it has taken my breath away. Their colors seem so perfect for the palette I prefer that this painting came easily and freely.

Printed on archival Epson matter paper this print is from one of my watercolors and part of a larger series I did featuring colorful and somewhat whimsical songbirds. The image area is approximately 5 x 7″ and is printed on an 8.5 x 11″ paper so there is plenty of room for matting. This is one of the more popular images I have painted over the years.
