It’s summer time and the living is….well outdoors! Join me on a nature walk this summer. We’ll visit tide pools and other cool places. Check the calendar below for times and locations. My art classes are listed there as well. I hope to see you sometime this summer π
I am always available to lead custom tours and walks at area beaches, conservation areas, etc. Bring the kids and Grandpa, too. Up to 12 people can come for $50 for an hour program in the mid Cape. If you prefer the upper or lower Cape, just add $10 for my gas and I’ll be there! Email me at capecodartandnature@gmail.com to set a time, date and place.
I also do nature and art based birthday parties for kids at your home or outdoor location. Those start at $100 for an hour long program with activities and includes cost of materials.
Fall 2015 will bring many new programs for schools, libraries and other organizations.
Many programs will be available with accompanying field trips and multiple visits to make for a deep and meaningful learning experience. All programs will have hands on natural history and/or science elements as well as some sort of integrated arts experience.
Some programs now in development are:
Going Batty! Exploring the myths and benefits of bats.
Shrinking Shores and Shifting Sands
Fall Strandings: Sea Turtles and Mola Molas
Signs of Winter
The Biology and Wonder of Birds

I am looking for a speaker to give a nature program to a small church group, the Women’s Union of the First Congregational Church of Falmouth. We are mostly elderly so unable to go on nature walks but would enjoy hearing about what you do. We will pay whatever fee you think is appropriate.
Our meetings are the second Wednesday of the month at noon and include lunch and program. We are interested in October 8th right now and also in february and March.
Hi Mary: I thoroughly enjoy your column every week and never miss a word. My group of amateur gardeners like to take nature tours and garden tours etc. We live in Falmouth and are meeting this Monday to discuss activities for the next few months. Do you do any tours in this area for a group of about 8 women. What do you suggest. Some are not able to walk very much!! Thank you.
Hi–sorry, I just saw this and yes, that is something I love to do! Email me at capecodartandnature at gmail dot com (sorry but the bots read the email addresses and no one wants more bots π
I just happened to discover your blog. Love your sketches.
